Give your child the strongest communication foundation possible with our Winter Speaking Academy — a powerful 10-week program designed to build quick-thinking, confident, and purposeful speakers. Led by our expert (and super fun( instructors, this academy blends fun, high-energy speaking games with real, practical public speaking skills kids can use every day.

WINTER 2026 (10 weeks total)

Unit 1 — Weeks 1–5: Impromptu Speaking Academy

Kids learn how to think on their feet, speak with clarity (even with no prep!), and answer questions confidently — the same skills needed for class participation, interviews, and real-life communication. (Also, one of our MOST fun units!) For beginners and more advanced speakers, they will all benefit!

They’ll learn:
- Quick-thinking frameworks!
- How to speak confidently with 0–30 seconds of prep
- Random topic challenges and object talks
- Mini debate warm-ups
- Fun partner and team rounds
- How to organize ideas under pressure

Students LOVE this unit — it’s dynamic, exciting, and packed with confidence-boosting wins.

Unit 2- Weeks 6–10: Persuasive Speaking Power!

In the second half, students learn how to express strong opinions, build arguments, and convince an audience — skills they’ll use in writing, class discussions, and future leadership roles.

They’ll learn:
- Using persuasive structure
- Practice both Impromptu and Prepared Persuasive Speeches
- Using logic AND emotion
- Learn different forms of persuasive speaking
- Practice mini-debate games and rebuttals

Audience engagement and stronger delivery
This unit prepares students perfectly for our Spring Intro to Debate Academy!

Our 10-week Program also includes a final (optional) Friday“Mic Mania-Spring Speak!” night on Friday, April 17! Students will perform a piece that they have written in our classes or create a new piece for performance! This is a very fun, informal family night to give the students an opportunity to perform in front of an unintimidating crowd!

Also, we have been known to follow performances with some family karaoke! So bring your singing voices (and shower singing voices!) We will have a blast!
